Enable Banking emails you their sign-in link. You paste it on the next page, and this server creates the application in your Enable Banking account, with the right redirect and policy addresses, and makes the key. The sign-in is used for that one step and not kept. If you have no Enable Banking account yet, the same link creates one.

Then choose the password your assistant will use, on the next page.

Register at Enable Banking

Create an application at enablebanking.com. Free for your own accounts. Its form asks for these values:

Application description

BankMCP Vege/Muten lets you ask your AI assistant about your own accounts. It reads balances and transactions. It has no payment tools, and only the holder of the password can use it. You can revoke access at your bank at any time.

Environment: Production for your real accounts, Sandbox to try with test data. Keep generate private key selected. When you save, a .pem file downloads once and the application id appears.

Enter what Enable Banking gave you

The .pem file that downloaded when you saved the application. It is read here in your browser and stored on this server only.

Two letters. Used as the default when you ask for a bank.

Choose the password for your assistant

This is the password you type when you connect your assistant to this server, once per assistant. It is the only thing between the internet and your accounts, so make it long.

The id and key are checked against Enable Banking before anything is saved.
